Joy Beitzinger
Joy has been a part of our team since 2007 as practice manager. She has enjoyed getting to know our fabulous patients over the 15 years and watching our office evolve into the outstanding practice that it is today. In her personal time, she enjoys spending time outdoors with her family, hiking, riding bicycles, and exploring Ohio. She has two beautiful grandchildren and is loving every minute of being a grandmother!
Shannon McGuire
Shannon has been part of our team for 9 years. She is our Clinic, Financial, and Cosmetic coordinator, as well as our Surgery Scheduler. Shannon is also a Medical Assistant and certified CoolSculpting technician. Her training allows her flexibility in caring for patients. She also helps with patient insurance claims and precertification needs. Her favorite part of this job is watching patients leave the office feeling better and more confident about themselves. Shannon enjoys spending time with her family and friends, exercising, and walking her dogs. She looks forward to working with the Smith Facial Plastics family each day.
Wendy Currier, NP-C, RN, BS
Wendy Fahey Currier, NP-C, RN, BS, is a board-certified family nurse practitioner with nearly 14 years of experience in the primary care setting. She graduated magna cum laude from The Ohio State University Honors Program in 2006, where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology. Subsequently, she became a registered nurse and then completed her Master of Science degree in Nursing from The Ohio State University in 2009. Wendy transitioned from providing primary care services to offering laser treatments for permanent hair reduction and skin improvements in 2023. Simultaneously, she furthered her education through The Institute for Functional Medicine, enhancing her capacity to deliver personalized healthcare solutions to restore bodily function and foster optimal wellness. Wendy adopts a holistic perspective to identify the root causes of persistent health issues while advocating for lifestyle improvements and mind-body harmony tailored to each individual.
Michele Rezabek, RN
Michele brings nearly 25 years of nursing experience to Smith Facial Plastics. She began her career in Providence, RI, specializing in Trauma ICU medical care. She has expanded her expertise in multiple nursing disciplines across various cultures, including working in Milan, Italy. In addition to strong technical and analytical skills, Michele creates a positive patient experience by building rapport and creating a calm environment. Michele is certified in cosmetic injections, laser hair reduction, RF Microneedling, CoolSculpting, and other laser skin treatments. She enjoys coming to work every day loves the SFP team!

Lissy Schmidt, RN
Lissy is a registered nurse who graduated from Capital Universityβs accelerated nursing program. Prior to that, Lissy attended Miami University and received a degree in kinesiology. Prior to working at Smith Facial Plastics, Lissy worked during the COVID pandemic at OSU and in The Grant Trauma ICU. This valuable experience has helped her to excel in the aesthetics field. Lissy performed several treatments here at Smith facial plastics including BBL laser, MOXI laser, RF Microneedling, IV therapy, Pulsed Dye Laser, and CoolSculpting. Lissy’s favorite treatment is the BBL/MOX laser combo, and her passion is customized skin care.

Janelle Cooper, LPN
Janelle is one of our clinical nurses and assists Dr. Scott Smith with all procedures and surgeries performed at Smith Facial Plastics. One of her top priorities is ensuring each patient is well educated before any cosmetic procedure and is available for patients from the day of consultation to the end of the postoperative period. As a Cincinnati native, when she is away from work, she enjoys exploring all the wonderful places and things Columbus offers and loves spending time outdoors with her dogs (with appropriate SPF protection, of course!) Janelle thoroughly enjoys caring for each of our patients and feels fortunate to be a part of such a great team at Smith Facial Plastics!
Kristy McKay
Kristy is our back-office coordinator. She completed her Medical assistant education at CSCC in 2019. With a background in dermatology, Kristy is passionate about educating patients on the critical significance of sun protection measures. Her versatile training allows her to lend support across various areas within the clinic as needed. She enjoys coming to work every day and witnessing the steady growth of confidence among our patients. During her leisure hours, Kristy enjoys exploring Metro Parks with her son and being outdoors.
Galina Young
Galina is our Front Desk Coordinator at Smith Facial Plastics. She helps with scheduling and making sure every patient is taken care of before meeting with one of our doctors or nurses. She loves meeting and getting to know all the smiling faces at SFP. When she’s away from work, Galina enjoys spending time with her family, going to the gym, and shopping!
Mandy Perry
Mandy has been part of our team since 2019. She enjoys every aspect of her job as an insurance specialist, particularly helping patients. She also enjoys spending time with her family, watching OSU football, and taking vacations to the beach. Mandy became a grandmother in July 2021, and her grandson is the most perfect gift to her family.
Candice Gaylen
Candice is one of our medical scribes here at Smith Facial Plastics, providing support to Dr. Scott Smith. She documents all patient encounters and assists during in-office procedures. With a background in public health and healthcare administration, Candice joined our team while completing her premedical coursework and is currently pursuing admission to medical school. She has been a part of our practice for 1 year, thrives on patient interactions and is dedicated to expanding her medical knowledge. Outside of work, Candice enjoys spending time with her husband.
