Facial Reconstructive Surgery News

Dr. Smith is an active participant in both the local and national medical communities. His impressive work on facial reconstruction for trauma patients has been featured several times in print and on television, most recently for Megan Harris’s facial reconstruction surgery that combined the latest advances in technology with an ancient surgical technique to repair damage from a dog-bite. An educator and frequent lecturer, he is also a contributor to RealSelf.com, where he answers user-submitted questions about the aesthetics and medical practice of plastic surgery. Having served on several committees, Dr. Smith is currently Chairman of The American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery’s Vascular Birthmark and Hemangiomas sub-committee.
