An educator and frequent lecturer, he is also a contributor to RealSelf.com, where he answers user-submitted questions about the aesthetics and medical practice of plastic surgery. Having served on several committees, Dr. Smith is currently Chairman of The American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeryβs Vascular Birthmark and Hemangiomas sub-committee.
